Honda Cars India has launched the much-awaited all-new City today. Prices start from Rs 10.90 lakh and go up to Rs 14.65 lakh (both prices ex-showroom). First introduced in India in January 1998, Honda City has been the country’s most successful mid-size sedan. The fifth-generation Honda City has been developed at Honda R&D Centre located in Tochigi, Japan following extensive market surveys in India, ASEAN countries and other markets.
As far as dimensions go, the all-new Honda City is the longest and widest sedan in its segment. Exact dimensions stand at 4549mm length and 1748mm width. The height of the new model stands at 1489mm and wheelbase of 2600mm.
Also, Honda has not compromised on the connectivity features and provided as standard on every variant with a five-year free subscription. Honda Connect with Telematics Control Unit (TCU) has over 32 connected features. The 2020 City will also be India’s first car to come with Alexa Remote Capability.
On the powertrains front, the all-new Honda City comes with petrol and diesel options. Honda’s range of BS6-compliant powertrains include the 1.5-litre i-VTEC DOHC petrol motor with VTC and the India exclusive 1.5-litre i-DTEC diesel mil.
First-in-segment features include full-LED headlamps, Z-Shaped wrap-around LED Tail lamp, 17.7 cm HD full-colour TFT meter with G-meter, LaneWatch camera, Vehicle Stability Assist (VSA) with Agile Handling Assist (AHA) and much more.
