Renault India has finally announced the launch of the 1.3-litre turbo petrol-powered Duster. With this, the Duster becomes the most powerful SUV in its segment in India, alongside the Kicks Turbo, which shares quite a few things with the former. The Duster turbo petrol will be available in three variants with a six-speed manual option at a starting price of Rs 10.49 lakh (ex-showroom), while the X-Tronic CVT (seven-step manual mode) will be available in two variants with a starting price of Rs 12.99 lakh (ex-showroom). Renault will also offer the option of the existing 1.5-litre NA petrol motor, priced from Rs 8.59 lakh (ex-showroom).

The 1.3-litre turbo petrol engine is BS6-compliant and produces 154bhp and 254Nm. It comes loaded Gasoline Direct Injection (GDI) and Dual Variable Valve Timing (VVT) for higher torque at lower RPMs and reduced emissions. Claimed fuel efficiency figures stand at 16.5kmpl for the manual transmission and 16.42kmpl for the CVT.
