The Peregrine Falcon has returned!

That’s right, the 2021 or third-generation Hayabusa has been launched in India. Suzuki has priced it at Rs 16.4 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). Interestingly, it’s been 13 years since there was a full update to the Hayabusa, and naturally, things have changed.

First and foremost, power and torque figures are slightly lower than before. The 1,340cc, four-cylinder motor has been reworked internally with new connecting rods, lighter pistons, etc. and now churns out 187-bhp and 150-Nm of torque. However, Suzuki boffins claim the updated Hayabusa is still the quickest ever.

Furthermore, Suzuki has significantly updated the electronics and braking systems on the 2021 Hayabusa. A lighter exhaust system also means that the updated Hayabusa has shed two kilograms of weight (264 kilograms). Moreover, there’s a new LED headlight and a TFT display next to the good ol’ analogue instrument cluster.
