On Nexa’s 7th anniversary, Maruti Suzuki launched its game-changing SUV, The Grand Vitara. The Grand Vitara shares its underpinnings with Toyota’s Hyryder, but it certainly holds more premium features and design.

The Grand Vitara gets a more commanding and aggressive look from the outside thanks to its bold SUV stance, muscular wheel arches, and R-17 precision cut alloys, but from the inside, it is loaded with features like AllGrip technology (AWD), coloured heads-up display, 360 camera view, a 9-inch Smart infotainment system integrated with voice assist, built-in Next Gen Suzuki connect, ventilated seats, a panoramic sunroof, and a fully digital instrument cluster. The Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara will be offered in six monochrome colour options and three dual-tone colour options. Additionally, the ENIGMAX and ENIGMAX X theme collections were introduced for an elegant line that will highlight the Grand Vitara’s individuality and character more.

Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara: Safety features

The Grand Vitara is protected by the NEXA Safety Shield and is built on the renowned Suzuki TECT platform (Global C-platform). There are several active and passive safety measures available like Electronic Stability Program (ESP) with Hill Hold Assist, 3-point ELR seat belts (All seats), Rear Disc Brake, Hill Descent Control, 6-airbags, and Tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS).

Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara: Engine Options

The Grand Vitara will feature two engine variants. One is a 1.5 L K-series Dual jet, Dual VVT engine with progressive Smart Hybrid having a power output of 75.8 kW and 136.8Nm of torque and a 1.5-L Intelligent Hybrid having a power output of 85kW total and 122Nm of torque that claims to give a class-leading fuel efficiency of 27.9 Km/L.

Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara: Prices and Rivals

Maruti Suzuki has yet to announce the price of the Grand Vitara, but they surely will in the coming weeks. For now, it is available for pre-booking at an initial token of Rs. 11,000.This SUV will compete against the Hyundai Creta and Kia Seltos, which have been ruling the marketfor mid-size SUVs for the past few years.
