Are you upset that you aren’t one of the lucky people Lamborghini approached when they made the Lamborghini Sian hypercar? Did the price tag of the Sian make you shed a tear or two and also made you realise how poor you actually are? (Or maybe it was just me.) Well, look no further as I might have a fantastic alternative for you. In collaboration with Automobili Lamborghini, the LEGO Group has built a life-size replica of the Lamborghini Sián FKP 37.
To begin with, a team of 15 people spent 8660 hours of development work and meticulous construction to create this masterpiece using over 400,000 LEGO® Technic™ elements. The proportions of the model are identical to the real-life Sian. Each body panel is constructed using an intricate fabric of bespoke interconnecting hexagonal LEGO Technic elements, which, interestingly enough, pay a homage to the six-sided shape that is quintessential to Lamborghini’s design language. Even on the inside, things are top-notch. It has come exclusive touches such as a brick-built steering wheel featuring the Lamborghini emblem and the Italian flag, LEGO built dashboard controls and racing seats.
To build this from the ground up, 154 different LEGO elements, including 20 moulded specifically for this project, were created. It embodies the unmistakable design of the Lamborghini Sián down to the most minute details, perfectly mirroring the car’s dimensions to the millimetre. Oh, a special mention also needs to be made to this model’s paint finish, which has a paintbrush-effect UV colour coating and was applied by Lamborghini’s paint shop. Just to add a nerdy detail in here, the LEGO model of the Sian weighs in at 2200 kgs which is as heavy as your full-size family SUV.
So now that really remains is to sell all your furniture (do you really need it?) and buy yourself the LEGO scale model of the Sian. I am sorry to break your bubble here, but getting your hands on a real Sian might just be a tad bit easier than getting this scale model home. This is a one-off creation built for the LEGO museum and is not for sale. So um guess you can close that tab you just opened on OLX to sell your furniture!!
