The second product to grace our shores as part of the SUVW strategy is the T-Roc. The T-Roc is a premium five-seat SUV that’s high on style. It is, in fact, one of the most stylish Volkswagens and adds a new dimension of elegance to its segment. Aimed at the younger and more suave buyer the T-Roc commands second glances with its sleek lines and sporty stance.
Under its hood is Volkswagen’s 1.5-litre TSI EVO petrol engine that offers a healthy 148bhp along with 250Nm and is mated to the same, silky-smooth seven-speed DSG automatic gearbox. A bigger highlight here is its ‘ACT’ or Active Cylinder Technology. ACT can deactivate two of the four cylinders depending on load conditions to improve efficiency, thereby also making the T-Roc more efficient and environmentally friendly.
Volkswagen has sweetened the deal further with a panoramic sunroof, dual-zone climate
control, 17-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels and six airbags besides Electronic Stability Control (ESC) as standard. There’s a tyre pressure monitoring system as well. Quite the list, no?
