Good news! There’s a brand new cruiser coming to India. It’s Italian, stylish and definitely not a Ducati. Jokes apart, the Benelli 502C is the bike in question here. Benelli is all set to bring about their urban cruiser, but we’re not sure exactly when it’ll get here. All we do know for now is, if you do want to get your hands on their deliciously contemporary-looking machine, get ready to keep Rs 10,000 handy. That’s not the price, of course, but the booking amount.

When it does arrive here, hopefully by the end of July, it’ll come packed with a 500cc, parallel-twin engine churning out 47 bhp and 46 Nm of peak torque. That motor is the same as the one on the Leoncino 500 and TRK 502, just like the six-speed gearbox. Other than that, it gets 41mm USD forks up front, and a monoshock, at the rear. The front and rear disc brakes measure up to 280mm and 240mm, respectively.

As far as styling is concerned, it feels a bit like an Infernal Affairs and The Departed situation. That exposed trellis frame, double-barrel exhaust pipes, single-piece rear end and power cruiser stance make for an interesting visual experience. Honestly, though, we can’t wait to see this one up close and personal. Other noteworthy features include 17-inch wheels (both ends), LED lighting all around, a digital instrument cluster and a 21-litre fuel tank.

Benelli India will be offering their first-ever cruiser in the Indian market with a three-year, unlimited kilometres warranty as standard. Furthermore, it’ll come with two colour options – Matte Cognac Red and Glossy Black. As mentioned earlier, deliveries for the 502C are expected to begin from August 2021. If you’re wondering about the options, well, there’s the Kawasaki Vulcan S. However, we expect the 502C to undercut the Vulcan S by a slight margin at least. What do you make of Benelli’s 502C? We reckon it’s worth a look at least.
