Bentley Motors and Fanatec have co-developed a unique steering wheel that can be used for real and virtual motor racing. Yup, this steering wheel is designed specifically for the Bentley Continental GT3 Pikes Peak challenge car and can also be fitted to your racing simulator setup. (We agree, it sure is bonkers).

The Bentley GT3 steering, which is developed in collaboration with Fanatech, is carefully crafted from lightweight carbon fibre, magnesium alloy and equipped with a host of driving functions. The centre of the GT3 wheel has a circular digital display which offers the driver (gamer) a whole host of vital telemetry and information about their performance.

Bentley designed the sim racing steering wheel, which is obviously wrapped in the most opulent materials with intricate design details, including the signature knurling on the rotary encoders. Other key features include a forged carbon display bezel, two 7-way FunkySwitch directional sticks with encoder functionality, a pair of aluminium thumb wheels with optical encoders, and four magnetic paddles – two for gearshifting and two auxiliaries, based on the design of the Continental GT road car.

When not in use on your racing simulator or your GT3 race car (assuming you have one chilling in your parking lot), the Bentley’s collector’s piece steering wheel can be displayed on your wall or desk as a trophy in itself. Now that you have read the whole article and are wondering what it costs, the price of this piece of art isn’t announced yet. Still, I assume it is certainly going to cost a lot more than most of your racing simulators and possibly the houses it sits in combined. So it might be a good time to rework your life’s investments to get this bad boy!
