What’s your favourite song about cruising down the highway with your beloved motorcycle? Some popular choices include Midnight Rider by The Allman Brothers, Motorcycle Mamma by Neil Young, Slow Ride by Foghat and many, many more. BMW Motorrad has its own addition to this list – Born to be Wild by Steppenwolf. Just recently, the Bavarian car and bike makers announced a strategic partnership with Marshall Amplification. For anyone who is a music fan, this should sound like a match made in heaven.

FYI, Marshall Amps, which was originally from Hanwell (London), is now based in Bletchley, Milton Keynes (UK). They are renowned in the world of music for having produced legendary guitar amplifiers for some of the world’s best musicians. The British brand has been making some award-winning headphones and speakers since 2012. And they’ve been doing so for the past 60 years. Safe to assume they know what they’re doing, just like BMW Motorrad.

Now, not a lot is known about what exactly this partnership is all about. In fact, we’ll have more information on July 29, 2021. This is when, BMW Motorrad, will present the first new products resulting from this strategic partnership very soon. Intriguing, to say the least. But wait, there’s more. This agreed-upon long-term partnership will result in ‘new innovative products for motorcycles and music, especially in the BMW Motorrad Heritage segment.’ Furthermore, BMW Motorrad hopes to take its sound systems to a whole new level.

What do you folks out there make of this piece of news? Do you think it makes sense to tie up with a world-renowned brand like Marshall? Moreover, what do you think the result of this awesomely radical partnership will be? Honestly speaking, belting down the highway, looking for adventure on a BMW R18 with some fine tunes from a Marshall sound system sounds like an absolute dream, doesn’t it?
