BMW India has added a base trim level to the existing line-up of the X3. The xDrive30i SportX variant has an introductory price of Rs 56.50 lakh (ex-showroom, India). This variant adds to the current line-up of the BMW X3 which consists of the – X3 xDrive30i ‘Luxury Line’ which is priced at Rs 61.80 lakh and the X3 xDrive30d ‘Luxury Line’ which is priced at Rs 62.50 lakh (ex-showroom, India).
Although the ‘SportX’ is the entry level variant, it doesn’t miss out on features such as an 8.8-inch touchscreen infotainment system integrated with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, LED headlights and taillights and fog lights, three-zone automatic climate control, a panoramic sunroof, an analogue instrument cluster, automatic tailgate operation and 18-inch alloys as standard. But compared to the ‘Luxury Line’ trim, it omits out certain features such as the 16-speaker Harman Kardon sound system, adjustable damper control, variable torque split control, wireless charging, the 12.3-inch digital instrument, the 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system and the larger multispoke 19-inch alloy wheels.
Powering the ‘SportX’ variant is the same 2.0-litre, four-cylinder turbo-petrol that puts out 252hp and 350Nm of torque mated to an 8-speed automatic sending power to all four wheels via BMW’s xDrive all-wheel-drive system. BMW claims a 0 to 100km/h time in 6.3 seconds and can keep going all the way till its top speed of 213km/h.
Bookings have begun for the X3 Sport X variant and for customers who book the car online through BMW Online Shop before 28 February 2021 mid-night, will enjoy early-bird benefits worth up to INR 1.50 lakh. The benefits include BMW Service Inclusive Package and exclusively curated BMW Accessories Package. The BMW Service Inclusive covers all maintenance work, including any BMW Original Parts and oil requirements for 3 year/ 40,000 kms. The BMW Accessories Package will include the BMW Display key, 2.5 PM air filter, LED door projectors and universal wireless charger.
