It’s always a pleasure to visit the Brabus website. The German tuner has bestowed the world with many iconic models, many of which are based on Mercedes-AMG. In the latest, the tuner has got their hands on the Mercedes-AMG E 63 S.
Named the Brabus 800, the power freak sedan makes use of two new high-performance turbochargers, a plug-and-play ‘PowerXtra’ ECU module and a sports exhaust system. As a result, the power is bumped up to 788bhp and 1,000Nm of torque.
That’s quite a substantial gain from the standard sedan’s respectable 604bhp. Brabus makes use of the same 4.0-litre V8 with improved injection and ignition mapping. A carbon-fibre aero kit helps accentuate its performance.
With all the enhancements, the Brabus 800 attains a 0-100kmph sprint time of 3.0 seconds, a time that is brought down from the standard sedans 3.4 seconds.
Understated overperformance. You could still use this power cruiser for your business meets and travel cross-country in luxury and style. But when the mood’s right to dial things up a bit, you’ll have 788bhp at your disposal. Now that’s what every CEO would desire.
