Maruti Suzuki launched the facelifted Swift for 2021 and is priced between Rs 5.73 lakhs to Rs 7.91 lakhs for the manual and Rs 6.86 lakhs to Rs 8.41 lakh for the AMT. (ex-showroom, Delhi respectively).
The biggest change on the 2021 Swift is the all-new 1.2-litre Dual Jet K-Series petrol engine produces 88bhp is offered with a 5-speed manual gearbox and a 5-speed AMT gearbox. Maruti Suzuki claims a fuel-efficacy figure of 23.20 km/l in the manual and 23.76 km/l in the AMT. The Swift boasts of up-to-date features such as Electronic Stability Program (ESP) with hill-hold in AMT variants. It also comes equipped with a host of safety features such as dual airbags, ABS with EBD, Pre-tensioner and force limiter seat belts, driver and co-driver seat belt reminder, ISOFIX and a reverse parking sensors with a rear view camera.
While the exterior of the new Swift looks nearly identical to its previous generation apart from a chrome strip across the front grille. What Maruti has added a few more features to the Swift such as an engine idle start-stop function, cruise control and auto foldable OVRMs. On the inside, apart from an updated 4.2-inch TFT display in the instrument cluster no other changes are seen in the interiors of the Swift. Also on offer are three new dual-tone colour options – Pearl Arctic White with Pearl Midnight Black Roof, Solid Fire Red with Pearl Midnight Black Roof and Pearl Metallic Midnight Blue with Pearl Arctic White Roof.

The Swift has proven to be a very capable hatchback in India since its launch and Maruti Suzuki always has sold it in high volumes. Now with the launch of the facelifted Swift, Maruti Suzuki looks to maintain that high volume sales figure by adding more safety and driver friendly technology that was previously missing.
