Once again, a major two-wheeler manufacturer has announced an extension of warranty and free vehicle service benefits till July 31, 2021, across all its dealership networks pan-India. This time around, it’s Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India. Previously, India Yamaha Motor had announced similar benefits due to the second wave of the Covid-19 pandemic.
Moreover, this extension will be applicable for all Honda 2Wheeler India’s customers, whose vehicle’s free service, warranty and extended warranty was originally ending between April 1, 2021, and May 31, 2021. This is obviously due to the restricted movement in several states. Furthermore, customers can avail of these services at their convenience at a later date before July 31, 2021, as lockdown eases.
Honda India Foundation, the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) arm of all Honda group companies in India, has earmarked a sum of Rs 65 million for Covid-19 support and relief measures in five states of Haryana, Rajasthan, Karnataka, U.P and Gujarat. This includes setting up a 100-bed facility in Manesar and another 50-100 bed facility in Tapukara (Rajasthan).
Honda is also setting up oxygen production plants in Manesar, Alwar (Rajasthan), Kolar (Karnataka) and Gautam Budh Nagar (UP). Parallelly, HIF is reaching out to front-line warriors by distributing PPE, masks, sanitisers and also providing government hospitals in rural areas with medical equipment like oxygen concentrators, pulse oximeters etc.
