After unveiling it at India Bike Week, Honda finally launched the much-awaited update for its CB300R motorcycle. Launched for Rs 2.77 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi), the CB300R serves as the brand’s entry-level premium offering that also followers Honda’s neo-sports café inspired design language. Elaborating on 2022 CB300R, Mr Atsushi Ogata, Managing Director, President & CEO, Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India Pvt. Ltd., said, “Further reinstating our customers’ trust & Honda’s commitment towards them, the 2022 CB300R is finally here. Since its introduction, it has held high standards of engineering. With distinctive features and dynamic road presence, we are confident customers will be delighted with the new CB300R.”
Powering the CB300R is the same old 286 cc, single-cylinder motor that is now BSIV compliant and also gets a slipper clutch as standard. Honda claims their new slipper clutch will improve the overall riding experience and make operating it a lot more effortless since it requires less load to work over the standard clutch. Honda has now also equipped it with a pair of USD forks finished in gold which is guaranteed to catch some eyes. For braking, Honda has introduced a new dual-channel ABS system that works with the new IMU (Inertial Measurement Unit) for better overall braking and body control under hard braking. The front gets a 296 mm disc while the rear gets a 220 mm disc that gets its stopping power from a pair of 4-pot radial-mounted callipers.
Honda offers the same minimalistic instrument console, which gets new features like a side stand indicator, an engine inhibitor and a gear position indicator. As of now, the CB300R can be had in only two colour options: Matte Steel Black & Pearl Spartan Red. Bookings are now open for this handsome motorcycle, and interested buyers can walk into their nearest BigWing dealership and have a glace at this modern retro bike. On this occasion, Mr Yadvinder Singh Guleria, Director – Sales & Marketing, Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India Pvt. Ltd., said, “Wait is finally over for the CB300R in its new 2022 avatar. A fun ride on city streets and lightest in its class, new CB300R comes with Assist & Slipper clutch which reduces fatigue and Golden Upside Down Forks which offer riding precision and enhanced sporty appeal. Overwhelmed by customers’ response received on its unveiling at India Bike Week in December ’21, we are thrilled to announce the bookings open today onwards.”
