Hyundai donates Rs 7 crore to PM CARES fund

Extending its supports to the Indian citizens, Hyundai Motor India (HMI), has donated INR 7 crore to the PM CARES Funds. The manufacturer had also made a donation of INR 5 crore to the Tamil Nadu CM Relief Fund and had imported 25,000 high accuracy COVID-19 diagnostics kit from South Korea amounting to INR 4 crores, which were handed to the Indian Council of Medical Research.

Commenting on the initiative, SS Kim, MD & CEO of Hyundai Motor India Ltd. said, “The core values of our foundation inspire us to strive for the betterment of society. Our contribution to the PM CARES Fund stands testament to solidarity we hold with the people of India, amidst this crisis. In challenging times such as these, we are pledging to bring about ‘Progress for Humanity’ and will continue giving back to help India defeat this adversity.”

HMI has also entered in a strategic partnership with Air Liquide Medical Systems to augment the production and supply of ventilators and in-house development of AMBU Bag Actuator. Through their CSR wing, the brand has also distributed dry ration to the underprivileged families around their TN manufacturing facility.
