Hyundai Motor India has launched the BS6-compliant diesel powertrains for the Elantra. The executive sedan gets a 1.5-litre U2 CRDi diesel, which comes mated to a six-speed automatic & manual transmission, that produces 113bhp and 250Nm of torque. This new motor is available on SX & SX(O) Variants with prices starting at Rs 18.70 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). The Elantra previously came with a 1.6-litre diesel engine.

Additionally, Hyundai is also providing an improved value proposition for existing petrol BS6 powertrain options on Elantra.”
The 2020 Elantra comes with features such as Hyundai BlueLink, wireless phone charger, dynamic LED quad projector headlamps with LED DRLs, front ventilated seats, and chrome door handles with pocket light. Apart from the BS6 diesel, the Elantra also comes with BS6-compliant petrol engine which produces 150bhp and 192Nm of torque. Prices now start at Rs 17.60 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi) which higher than before. This is because Hyundai has decided to do away with the base S variant and start the range with the SX variant instead.
