Hyundai Motor India has announced a partnership with Air Liquide Medical Systems to increase the production and supply of Ventilators in Tamil Nadu and other states in India. Air Liquide Medical Systems is a manufacturer of ICU ventilators and with this tie-up, aims to achieve a target of 1000 ventilators in Phase 1 of production, and then to further scale up subsequently. Ventilators are essential medical devices used by healthcare professionals to aid the work of breathing for a patient. For those severely affected by COVID-19, ventilators are critical to ensure continuous oxygen is supplied to overcome respiratory insufficiency.
