Jaguar Land Rover plans to gradually resume production from 18th May, starting with manufacturing plants in Solihull in the UK as well as in Slovakia and Austria. The brand has started to see a recovery in vehicle sales as customers are returning to showrooms. JLR’s joint venture plant in Changshu has been in operation since the middle of February. As countries are gradually relaxing distancing guidelines and retailers are reopening around the world, the restart of production at JLR’s other plants will be communicated soon.

Amidst the current situation, JLR has made the health and wellbeing of its employees their first priority. Protocols and guidelines are being developed to support a safe return to work. Inside their facilities, strict social distancing measures will be adopted and various measures are being evaluated to safely get back on track, whilst ensuring the utmost safety of the workforce. JLR continues to monitor the COVID-19 situation and is following guidelines set by local authorities in countries where they operate.
