In light of the Covid-19 situation in India, KTM has decided to extend the service and warranty periods of all its products in India. Given the uncertainty due to pandemic-induced lockdowns and travel restrictions in several states across India, all KTM and Husqvarna motorcycles will have their warranty benefits and free service period extended by two months. Therefore, warranty and free services which were previously valid till May 31st, 2021, will now be applicable until July 31st, 2021.

Sumeet Narang, President, Bajaj Auto (Probiking) commented on the initiative, “Due to the second wave of the pandemic, various states have announced lockdowns and we are aware that customers may struggle to get their vehicles serviced on time, or avail warranty benefits that may have expired during this period. Hence, we have rolled out two months warranty and service extension across all KTM and Husqvarna models.”

Apart from KTM, Hero MotoCorp, India Yamaha Motor and Honda 2Wheelers India have announced similar extensions of services due to the pandemic. Given the situation with the second wave, it seems likely that more two-wheeler brands will follow suit and allow for relaxed warranty periods and free service. Until then, we urge everyone reading this to stay home, stay safe and get the vaccine as soon as possible. That’s the least we can do to try and break the chain of this deadly pandemic. Take care!
