MG Hector – Long term report

MG Hector

The weather has been playful and the MG Hector has been a great canine. It’s slowly starting to be my active activity vehicle, following me to the gym, meetings and even a run on the beach. Speaking of which, those 5D-type mats work brilliantly to keep together the beach that I get into the car. If you are planning to buy one, opt in for these mats. Speaking of which, there’s a revised variant already! And I really wish for a diesel engine to be sent this time around, the petrol engine might be refined but it’s equally thirsty, something that my crew keeps telling me. Wonder what that really means…

Engine: 1.5-litre four-cylinder turbocharged petrol with mild hybrid
Power: 141bhp@5,000rpm
Torque: 250Nm@1,600rpm

Weight: 1,687kg

Good Stuff: Zillion connected features, commanding riding position
Bad Stuff: Reversing camera inputs to the screen are laggy
