New Mini John Cooper Works to debut at 24 Hours of Nürburgring

The Mini John Cooper Works is considered to be the most hardcore version of the Mini Cooper hatchback, and the latest iteration is all set to debut at the 24 Hours of Nürburgring ahead of its global unveil.

In terms of the design, the new petrol-powered Mini JCW will be cloaked in a bespoke camouflage that pays homace to the red and white colour schemes used by classic Minis in motorsport in the 1960s. The race car also features a ‘37’ logo, to commemorate the victory of the Mini Cooper S at the 1964 Rallye Monte Carlo 60 years ago. The big talking point however is that the new JCW model lineup will be available with petrol as well as all-electric versions

When it comes to the 24 Hours of Nürburgring, two cars will be entered – one being the #317 car by Bulldog racing, a private racing team, which will compete in the SP 3T category. The second entry will be a black Mini JCW #474 manual transmission, which secured a podium finish in last year’s 24 Hours of Nürburgring in the VT-2 category, despite fierce competition.
