Gurugram based electric two-wheeler manufacturer Okinawa Autotech has finally launched its flagship electric scooter, OKHI-90. The company claims OKHI-90 is the perfect amalgamation of a motorcycle and a scooter that caters to a commuter class’s varied needs and thrill. It has got first-in-class features, sporty exteriors and a respectable performance and range. Here’s everything you need to know what’s new and special with the newly launched OKHI-90.


The OKHI-90 stands out from the conventional electric-two wheeler in terms of its stance and styling. It gets 16-inch stylish aluminum alloy wheels, which enhances the overall riding experience and gives it a muscular aesthetic appeal. Okinawa claims the headlight is equipped with a sensitive light sensor for better visibility in dim surroundings, on-demand night driving, and driving in low-light conditions. The OKHI-90 has a knob-style automatic key-less start for quick and easy start-up. The OKHI-90 is available in various vibrant, glossy colours such as Wine Red, Pearl White, Ash Grey, and Jewellery Blue.


The OKHI-90 comes equipped with the best-in-class tech features like in-built navigation, Digitally informative Speedometer, Bluetooth connectivity, mobile charging USB-port, Luggage box light, Geo-fencing, secure parking, etc. It also provides information to the rider with battery info, speed alerts, calls and notification alerts, as well as insurance and maintenance reminders. The user can download the Okinawa Connect App loaded with a plethora of features to enhance the overall ownership experience. For example, it has the find My Scooter function, enabling the customer to locate their Okinawa electric scooter. The new mobile application also allows the owners to immobilize their e-scooters in case of theft.


The Okinawa OKHI-90 gets a 72V 50Ah removable lithium-ion battery with high performance centrally mounted 3800-watt motor. The scooter gets two riding modes – Eco and Sport. In Eco mode, one can achieve the maximum speed of 55-60km/h, whereas, in sport mode, one can achieve a top speed of 85-90km/h. Prices and After-Sales Service

The flagship electric scooter OHKI-90 comes at Rs 1,21,866 lakhs(price post FAME-2 subsidies). On-road price may vary from state to state depending upon the state subsidy on offer. It goes up against the Ather 450X, Ola S1 Pro, TVS iQube and Bajaj Chetak. The Okinawa Autotech offers a 3-years warranty on the battery. Okinawa OKHI-90 can be purchased PAN India from Okinawa’s authenticated dealers and galaxy stores. All-in-all, Okinawa seems to be little expensive, but it justifies its pricing considering the styling and features on offer.
