Mahindra has launched a petrol automatic variant of the XUV 300 and prices start at RS 9.95 lakh (ex-showroom, Mumbai). Bookings for this variant have already begun and deliveries to take place mid-February.
The 1.2-litre turbo-petrol produces 116bhp and 200Nm of torque was previously only available with a 6-speed manual but now buyers can opt for the petrol engine with an AMT automatic gearbox.
Mahindra has also showcased their new ‘BlueSense Plus’ connected technology which is available only in the top-trim W8 (O) Trim. Using this technology, customers can avail from almost 40 different features such as remotely unlocking or locking the door, tracking and locating their vehicle, set a geo fence, over speeding alert and other essential vehicle information via the app.

We also introduce today the BlueSense Plus, our connected SUV technology with 40+ features, that will seamlessly integrate the XUV300 into the always-connected world of today’s consumer.”
Mahindra has also included 3 new colour options which are – Dual-tone Red and Dual-tone Aquamarine on all W8(O) AutoSHIFT variants and the W6,W8 and W8(O) variant sees a new Galaxy Grey colour option.
The Mahindra XUV 300 competes with Hyundai Venue, Kia Sonet, Nissan Magnite, Ford EcoSport, Tata Nexon, Maruti Vitara Brezza and the Toyota Urban Cruiser all which are available with an automatic gearbox. The XUV 300 manages to create a niche in this clustered segment by being the only car to have a 5 Star safety rating for adults and 4 Star child safety rating when tested by Global NCAP.
