In a bid to motivate more people to #SwitchtoElectric, Tata Motors is celebrating early adopters of the technology who have led the green mobility wave in India. And encashing on this switch is no other than Tata itself which currently owns 70 percent of the market share in the EV space.
The brand is also the first to achieve over 1,000 electric vehicles being sold in a single month (August 2021), which further cements the fact that more people are wanting to adapt to the technology. Plenty reasons to do so, but with fuel prices at an all-time high many customers are taking interest in electric mobility.
Reason to Tata’s success? They’ve mastered the art of delivering an acceptable range in vehicles that are also practical and easy to live with. Both the Nexon EV and the Tigor EV has proved successful in getting through the city snarls and also heading out of the metropolitan boundaries for a leisurely trip. And it doesn’t come at an exorbitant cost, which definitely encourages more people to trust electric vehicles.
If you’re lifestyle requires upwards of 50 kilometres of daily driving, you could very well break even with the added cost on an EV is two-three years. This doesn’t take into account the subsidiaries various states are offering. Bonus is the gratification of doing good towards nature.

Tata Power’s ramp up of the charging infrastructure with 700 plus installations in 120 cities across India furthers the commitment of sustainability and modernization.
Powered by Tata Motors’ state-of-the-art Ziptron technology which is at the heart of the company’s passenger EV line-up, Tata Motors launched the Nexon EV in January 2020, and recently launched its second EV in the personal segment, the new Tigor EV, which comes with a GNCAP 4-star rating for adult and child occupant protection and boasts of an extended ARAI certified range of 306 kms (under standard testing conditions). The company has also launched the XPRES T electric sedan, its first product under the XPRES brand, exclusively for fleet customers, to create a new benchmark for urban shared and commercial mobility
