Skoda is offering the fourth-generation of the Octavia in a new Sportline trim that minuses the chrome and puts on the black. The treatment remains largely similar to the sporty variants of other Skoda, the most recent of which was the Skoda Superb Sportline.
On the outside, the all-new Skoda Octavia Sportline is ‘sporty defined’ by the distinctive front spoiler, blacked-out frame of the grille and blacked-out Škoda wordmark on the tailgate. In the equally gloss black rear diffuser, a chrome trim element adds a visual highlight. The trim proudly wears the Sportline badges on the front fenders along with a spoiler for the liftback boot. While the standard equipment includes 17-inch wheels in black, customers will be able to pimp their ride with optional 18-inch Vega wheels or 19-inch Taurus wheels.
The all-new Octavia is due it’s India launch and we expect it to hit the showrooms real soon. While the international variant gets a lot of equipment, including this Sportline trim, we are yet to learn what the brand will be bringing to India. Matrix headlamps? HUD? Message seats? Only time will tell, but we do hope for a good reception of this sedan, especially in a market that’s aggressively flocking towards (sighs) SUVs.
