David Brown Automotive has partnered up with race powertrain specialists Oselli to create this, the Mini Remastered Oselli Edition. Each Mini Remastered is hand-built at the Silverstone facility and celebrates the iconic city car but adds highly performance-oriented flair.

Under the hood of the Mini Remastered is a 1,450cc engine with twin SU carburettors which produces 125bhp and 153Nm of torque. The nought to 100kmph time is claimed to be just 7.8 seconds. While this might not sound like much in the current era, Oselli has made quite a few performance enhancements to the Mini Remastered to improve its track performances.

Technical changes include a hand-ported and polished cylinder head, strengthened crankshaft, high-torque performance-orientated camshaft, a limited-slip differential, together with other sports-centric tunings around the car, including high-performance brakes by AP Racing, sports-orientated suspension by Bilstein and a free-flowing sports exhaust system.

There are quite a few unique exterior features on the Mini Remastered. For example, the front grille has the number ‘60’ etched into it as a nod to the 60 years since the original Mini began production. Other features include a selection of unique exterior colourways with contrasting stripes carrying into the interiors.

In addition, all exterior graphics are hand-painted for a highly high-quality finish, and the badges adorning the car are hand-enamelled and finished in monochrome. Finally, a few modern features are on offer, such as the full LED headlights and taillights with a set of auxiliary spotlights too.

Customers can also opt from numerous interior design options for the Mini Remastered Oselli Edition. It can be ordered in either a two- or four-seat configuration, with the two-seater featuring bucket seats and a rear hand-trimmed roll cage with a four-point harness. There is also the option to order the car with twin fuel tanks for extra mileage range on longer journeys or race events. The interior is lined with Alcantara and hand-trimmed leather to further enhance the looks of the interiors.

Mini Remastered, Oselli Edition was first unveiled towards the end of 2019, and David Brown Automotive has been working hard with the team at Buckinghamshire-based Oselli since to refine the high-performance version of the classic city car, which will be limited to 60 bespoke models.
