Toyota Kirloskar Motor recently revealed interior images of its soon-to-be-launched compact SUV, the Urban Cruiser. As you can see, the Urban Cruiser will come with a dual-tone dark brown interior. Other features on the inside include engine start/stop button and automatic climate control, both of which will be standard across all variants. There’s also the electrochromic rearview mirror and cruise control along with the Smart Playcast touchscreen system with Android Auto/Apple Carplay.
Previously, TKM had announced the commencement of bookings for the upcoming Urban Cruiser for a booking amount Rs 11,000. Folks at Toyota also told us that the Urban Cruiser will come equipped the K-Series 1.5-litre, four-cylinder petrol engine. To add to that, there will be two transmission options – a five-speed manual and four-speed automatic (torque converter). Also, the automatic variants will get mild-hybrid technology.
Similar to the Fortuner-inspired front grille and LED-laden front headlamp cluster, expect the Urban Cruiser to have subtle yet distinctive tweaks to its design all around to differentiate it from part Indian, part Japanese cousin. Just like the Baleno/Glanza deal before, the Urban Cruiser will also have its own personality. One particular area where it has the edge is the three-year/one lakh kilometres standard warranty.
