German automotive manufacturer Mercedes-Benz has made subtle changes to the GLC for 2021. The updates also bring about a change in the pricing. Prices for the refreshed GLC 200 variant start at Rs 57.40 lakh while the GLC 220d variant is priced at Rs 63.15 lakh (both are ex-showroom, India).
While the exterior of the GLC remains the same as the as before, the interior does receive a whole host of technological updates such as new 12.3-inch MBUX digital instrument cluster which allows the driver to choose between three displays which are labelled as ‘Classic’, ‘Progressive’ and ‘Sporty’. The updated GLC also offers a massage function for the front seats. It will also come standard with a 360-degree reverse camera which would be a welcoming boon for a lot of owners.
Mercedes-Benz will also offer customers with their new ‘Mercedes Me’ connected technology which integrates a remote start function via the app and precondition the air-conditioning to the driver’s desired temperature. Apart from these functions, Mercedes has also integrated Amazon Alexa which allows the customer to give set vocal commands to use certain features of the vehicle. Mercedes-Benz has also announced two new colors which have been added to the GLC colour pallet called ‘Brilliant Blue’ and ‘High Tech Silver’.
The refresh might seem minor but the feature additions take the GLC a long way ahead of its rivals like the BMW X3 and the upcoming Audi Q5.
