Mahindra and Mahindra owned Classic Legends finally brings the iconic Yezdi brand to India after 26 long years with three new motorcycles named – Yezdi Roadster, Yezdi Scrambler and Yezdi Adventure. The brand wishes to percolate the sense of freedom and add fun quotient to the motorcycling. The product offering looks extremely promising as of now and here is everything you need to know about Yezdi bikes that have been launched in India today.
It’s the flagship adventure motorcycle by Yezdi, built to take you on exciting journeys like never before. The bike gets a strong dual cradle chassis and a powerful 334cc, single cinder, four-stroke engine, which churns out 29.8bhp of maximum power at 8000rpm and 29.9Nm of peak torque at 6500rpm, mated to a constant-mesh 6-speed gearbox. It has got a telescopic fork and coil spring front suspension and a preload mono-shock absorbers with coil spring and linkage mechanism at the rear. Most importantly, the bike features three ABS modes- Road, Off-road and Rain. It has 320mm of disk brake setup in the front and 240mm of disk brake at the rear. Yezdi Adventure seems to be a capable off-road machine with an ample 220mm of ground clearance. The bike’s wheelbase is 1465mm, the seat height is around 815mm, and it weighs about 188kg. One of the key features of the adventure bike includes a tilt adjust LCD display with bluetooth connectivity and a turn-by-turn navigation system. The bike comes with three different colour options, of which Ranger Camo costs around Rs.2,18,900 (ex-showroom). The other two includes Slick Silver and Mambo Black,costs Rs.2,09,900(ex-showroom) and Rs.2,11,900 (ex-showroom) respectively.
Yezdi’s Scrambler is designed and engineered to bring a fun quotient into motorcycling. The brand promises that Scrambler is the best companion for the weekend adventure trails and an encouraging companion for daily drives. The bike also features dual cradle chassis and the same engine, equipped on Yezdi Adventure but with a different state of tune. The bike features an upright handlebar position. It gets a 19-inch front wheel with 320mm of brake disc and a 17-inch rear wheel with 240mm of the brake disc. The bike also gets three ABS modes as we get in the Adventure. The bike has 1403mm of wheelbase and gets 200mm of ground clearance. The bike also gets a unique offset speedo pod with tucked in headlamps. Just like the Adventure, the Scrambler also comes with different colour options, whose Rebel Red, Mean Green, and Midnight Blue costs Rs. 2,10,900(ex-showroom). The other three colours include Fire Orange, Yelling Yellow and Outlaw Olive, out of which Fire Orange costs Rs.2,04,900 (ex-showroom) and the remaining two cost Rs.2,06,900 (ex-showroom).
Yezdi Roadster is a uniquely styled motorcycle with a perfect blend of classic flair with a modern stance. The bike gets a comfortable split seat with chrome garnish embedded near the seats giving it a muscular and contemporary look. The bike also gets a Dual cradle chassis with a telescopic fork and coil spring suspension at the front and a twin shock absorber with a gas canister at the rear. Talking about the engine, it also features the same 340cc,single-cylinder, four-stroke engine, which generates around 29bhp of peak power at 7300rpm and 29Nm of torque at 6500rpm. The same engine is carried over all three models but with a different state of tune to compliment the riding characteristics of each bike.
