Royal Enfield Vamos V2 Gloves Review

I’d like to think of myself as a rider who loves exploring new cities and heading out on long rides whenever possible. But the reality is that most of my time on two wheels is spent commuting to and from the office every day. And it’s during these daily rides that I realised just how important a good pair of urban riding gloves can be. That search led me to the Royal Enfield Vamos V2 gloves. Designed primarily for city use, they promise a balance of comfort, protection and everyday practicality. I’ve been using them for around a month now across my daily commute and weekend rides, and here’s what I think of them.

The Royal Enfield Vamos V2 gloves feature a clean and functional design that feels well suited to daily commuting as well as occasional long rides. My test unit came finished in a black, red and white colour scheme, although buyers can also opt for a more understated all-black finish. Constructed from 100 per cent genuine leather along with polyester panels, the gloves feel premium right out of the box. In terms of protection, they come equipped with carbon-fibre knuckle and finger protectors, TPU palm sliders, and a protective finger bridge that connects the ring and pinky fingers. The gloves also feature accordion stretch panels that aid flexibility while riding. Practicality is enhanced by touchscreen compatibility, with touch-sensitive panels integrated into both index fingers, allowing you to operate your smartphone or navigation device without taking the gloves off. The Vamos V2 gloves are CE Level 1 certified, meaning they meet European safety standards, making them a solid choice for urban commuting, weekend rides and occasional touring.

I opted for a size XL, and the fit proved to be spot on for my hands. There’s no excess material bunching up around the fingertips, and the gloves feel snug without being restrictive. Despite offering a good level of protection, they aren't overly bulky, which translates into excellent feel and feedback through the controls. Whether it's modulating the clutch, brake or throttle, the gloves allow for precise inputs and inspire confidence while riding. Overall, I’ve been thoroughly impressed with the Royal Enfield Vamos V2 gloves and have enjoyed using them as my everyday riding companion. Going forward, I’m looking forward to putting more kilometres on them during my daily commutes as well as occasional weekend rides.
