Benelli has unveiled the new Tornado Naked Twin 700 at EICMA 2026, introducing a new flagship to its naked motorcycle range. Combining an aggressive design with a parallel-twin engine and a comprehensive list of electronic features, the motorcycle is positioned in the middleweight naked segment.
Design and Styling
The Benelli Tornado Naked Twin 700 gets a muscular roadster design, highlighted by a prominent 15.5-litre fuel tank and a short, compact tail section. Its most distinctive styling element is the twin-projector headlight setup, accompanied by T-shaped daytime running lights that give the motorcycle a recognisable front profile.
Benelli has also integrated the front turn indicators into the handguards, while the rear indicators double up as the brake and tail lights. This approach gives the motorcycle a cleaner and more compact rear-end design.
Engine and Performance
Powering the Tornado Naked Twin 700 is a 698cc parallel-twin engine featuring a 180-degree crankpin offset. This is the same engine platform that has already been used in the Benelli TRK 702, although it has been configured for the new naked motorcycle.
The engine produces 73.4hp and 67Nm of torque. It is paired with a gearbox featuring a bidirectional quickshifter and an assist-and-slipper clutch.
Benelli will also offer an A2-compliant version producing 48hp, making the motorcycle accessible to riders who fall under the A2 licensing category.
Features and Equipment
The Tornado Naked Twin 700 comes equipped with a 5-inch TFT instrument display featuring Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connectivity. The display supports map-based or turn-by-turn navigation, along with call and music management.
Other features include cruise control, three riding modes, switchable traction control and ABS, along with tyre pressure sensors. The motorcycle also gets heated grips and a heated seat, adding to its touring and everyday usability. A USB-C charging port is provided as well.
Weight, Ergonomics and Availability
The Benelli Tornado Naked Twin 700 has a running-order weight of 195 kg and a seat height of 805 mm. Its 15.5-litre fuel tank complements the motorcycle's roadster proportions.
Benelli has confirmed that the Tornado Naked Twin 700 will be available through its dealer network in the second half of 2027. Pricing and India launch details have not been announced yet.
