Bimota KB399 Supersport Unveiled

Bimota has unveiled its latest supersport offering, the KB399, based on the Kawasaki ZX-4RR. It gets upgraded hardware, revised styling and a little bit of the Bimota magic on top. Made in partnership with Kawasaki, the KB (Kawasaki Bimota) bikes will be offered in 2 variants, the KB399 and the KB399 ES (Edizione Speciale). Making it the newest entry point to Bimota's ultra-exclusive lineup.

The styling of the KB399 is inspired by its bigger sibling, the KB998 Rimini, which is based on Kawasaki's ZX-10RR. It gets bespoke Bimota bodywork with winglets, along with Bimota's special red, black and white paint scheme, billet aluminium triple clamps, and machined steering stem top cap. The KB399 ES or the Edizione Speciale adds more premium features like carbonfibre on the top and bottom fairings and more billet aluminium components such as the footrests, brake and gear levers.

At its heart, it is powered by Kawasaki's 399cc inline four-cylinder engine producing 78.7bhp and 39Nm of torque and with a redline set at 16,000rpm this one is definitely a screamer! The engine is mated to a 6-speed transmission equipped with a bi-directional quickshifter.

The suspension duties are handled by fully adjustable 41mm Showa USD forks up front with a Showa BFRC monoshock at the rear on the standard model, while the ES model gets an upgraded Ohlins STX46 monoshock at the rear. Braking has also been improved over the ZX-4RR, with the KB399 bikes getting Brembo Stylema radial monoblock calipers.

Other features include an Akrapovic Titanium exhaust, 4 riding modes (Sport, Road, Rain and Rider), 3 levels of traction control, ride-by-wire throttle, dual-channel ABS, etc.

Launched in the UK at £9,749 for the KB399 and  £14,699 for the ES model (₹12.27 lakh and ₹18.5 lakh respectively), these bikes will be the new entry point to the Bimota lineup. While there is no confirmation on the india launch yet the bookings for the international model will start from the 3rd of April, and deliveries are expected to start from October 2026.
