Updated Royal Enfield Continental GT 650 Launched at ₹3.58 Lakh (ex-showroom)

Royal Enfield has launched the updated Continental GT 650 with a few cosmetic and feature updates. The cafe racer now gets new LED indicators and a Type-C fast-charging port. The Rocker Red variant gets a blacked-out engine, exhaust and cast alloy wheels, features that were previously available only on the Apex Grey variant, the instrument cowl also gets a black paint treatment.

Engine and Performance

Apart from the cosmetic updates and the addition of the new LED indicators and Type-C fast-charging port, the mechanical specifications of the Continental GT 650 remain unchanged. The Continental GT 650 continues to be powered by a 648cc parallel-twin air/oil cooled engine which produces 47hp and 52.3Nm of peak torque and comes paired with a six-speed gearbox.

Pricing

The updated Continental GT 650 is available in four colour and trim options. Prices start at ₹3.58 lakh (ex-showroom) for the Rocker Red variant and go up to ₹3.88 lakh (ex-showroom) for the top-spec Mr Clean variant.

The updated Royal Enfield Continental GT 650 will be available across Royal Enfield dealerships in India from August 14, 2026.

Verdict

The updates to the Continental GT 650 are fairly minor, but they do make the motorcycle more appealing. The blacked-out treatment, particularly on the Rocker Red variant, gives it a more aggressive look, while the new LED indicators and Type-C Fast-charging port is a welcome addition for everyday usability. However, Royal Enfield has wisely left the engine and overall mechanical package unchanged. The 648cc parallel-twin remains one of the biggest reasons to choose the Continental GT 650, and these updates give the motorcycle a fresher appearance without taking away from its original character.
