VLF India has introduced the STRADA electric scooter range in India, offering two variants with different battery configurations and claimed IDC ranges of up to 250km. The range comprises the STRADA CITY, priced at ₹1,19,999, and the STRADA MAX, priced at ₹1,55,500 (both ex-showroom). The electric scooter features removable LFP batteries, a 5-inch TFT display, three riding modes and a reverse function. Pre-bookings are open on Motohaus.in for ₹999, with deliveries scheduled to begin in November 2026.
Battery and Performance
The VLF STRADA is available with two battery configurations. The STRADA CITY gets a single 2.16kWh LFP battery pack, delivering a claimed IDC range of 130km. The STRADA MAX, on the other hand, features two removable 2.16kWh battery packs, offering a combined capacity of 4.32kWh and a claimed IDC range of 250km. Both variants feature removable batteries that can be charged either while installed in the scooter or individually.
Powering the STRADA range is a 4.8kW peak-power electric hub motor, which has a claimed efficiency of 94%. Both variants have a claimed top speed of 85kmph. The scooter gets three riding modes: ECO, CITY and SPORT, with their respective speed limits set at 45kmph, 65kmph and 85kmph.
The STRADA also gets a reverse function, which operates at speeds of up to 5kmph to assist with manoeuvring in confined spaces. Charging is handled by a 10A charger, with the single-battery STRADA CITY taking approximately three hours to charge and the dual-battery STRADA MAX requiring around six hours.
Features
The VLF STRADA comes equipped with a 5-inch TFT display that serves as its digital instrument cluster. The scooter features LED lighting, including a dual-beam projector LED headlamp, LED tail lamp and turn indicators.
For everyday convenience, the STRADA gets a front storage pocket with USB Type-A and Type-C charging ports for compatible devices. It also features a luggage hook with a maximum specified load capacity of 2kg and a standard rear carrier rack.
The three riding modes allow riders to select different speed settings depending on their requirements, while the removable battery system offers flexibility when charging. The reverse function further adds to its everyday usability.
Weight and Dimensions
The VLF STRADA has a kerb weight of 98kg, a seat height of 780mm and a wheelbase of 1,350mm. It offers 175mm of ground clearance and has a maximum load capacity of over 150kg.
Brakes and Suspension
The STRADA features a 31mm hydraulic front suspension fork paired with twin hydraulic rear suspension units. It rides on a 100/80-R16 front tyre and a 110/80-R14 rear tyre, with VLF highlighting this combination as a distinctive feature of the scooter's chassis setup.
Braking duties are handled by disc brakes at both ends. The front gets a 240mm disc with a three-piston caliper, while the rear features a 220mm disc with a two-piston caliper. The braking system is supported by a Combi-Braking System (CBS).
