The Renault Kiger has been with us since 2021, offering a compact, value-packed way into the SUV segment. Now, it’s about to get a mid-life refresh, with the facelift officially arriving on August 24, 2025.
Design Tweaks Outside and In
As with most mid-life updates, expect the exterior to see gentle but noticeable changes. A redesigned grille and bumpers will be on the cards, along with fresh alloy wheel designs for a sharper look. Revised lighting elements should give the Kiger’s face a slightly more modern expression without alienating fans of the current model.
The cabin is likely to retain its basic layout but could swap the current all-black theme for a more sophisticated dual-tone interior. New trims and upholstery are also expected to lift the perceived quality.
Features to Continue, With Small Additions
The 2025 Kiger is likely to retain its current feature list, including a 20.32 cm touchscreen infotainment system, a 17.78 cm digital driver’s display, automatic climate control with rear vents, wireless charging, and a 6-speaker Arkamys audio system. Electrically adjustable and auto-folding ORVMs will remain.
The big safety news is the probable introduction of six airbags as standard, up from the current four. Other safety kits, such as the tyre pressure monitoring system, hill start assist, traction control, and the rear camera with parking sensors, will carry over.
Engines Stay the Same
Under the bonnet, there are no expected surprises. The facelift should retain:
-
1.0-litre naturally aspirated petrol – 71.3 bhp and 96 Nm – with 5-speed manual or AMT
-
1.0-litre turbo-petrol – 98.6 bhp with 160 Nm (manual) or 152 Nm (CVT) – with 5-speed manual or CVT
A CNG option for the naturally aspirated manual is expected to continue, available via dealership fitment for roughly ₹79,500 extra.
