Suzuki’s Tiny 4x4 Goes Six-Wheeled

A Mini G-Wagen? Well, Sort Of

Back in 2019, this Jimny rolled off the assembly line in its usual four-wheeled form, probably expecting a quiet life of city commutes and occasional off-road excursions. But its owner, inspired by outlandish online renders, had grander ideas. Off it went to Mocho Fabrication in the Cotswolds, where some serious surgery was performed.

The chassis was stretched, and a third axle—borrowed from another Jimny—was bolted on. Purists can relax, though, as genuine Suzuki parts were used to craft the additional rear fenders. The rear deck required a fair bit of metalworking wizardry to make it all look seamless, and the whole thing was resprayed in Audi’s fashionable Nardo Grey.

The Looks of a Beast, But…

This Jimny certainly looks the part. It sits on chunky all-terrain tyres wrapped around black alloy wheels, with a spare wheel proudly mounted on the tailgate. Inside, things have been taken up a notch with black and grey quilted leather and an Apple CarPlay-ready audio system—because what’s the point of a six-wheeled Jimny if you can’t blast your favourite tunes while cruising through Mumbai traffic?

But here’s the catch: that third axle is just for show. Unlike the monstrous G63 6x6 that roars through sand dunes, this Jimny is still powered by the same 1.5-litre engine producing 102 bhp and 130 Nm of torque. Power is sent to the wheels via an automatic gearbox, meaning no performance upgrades—just a whole lot more presence.

What’s the Damage?

Now, if you fancy getting your hands on this unusual creation, it was recently up for auction at Historics but failed to find a buyer. It’s now listed on eBay for a rather eye-watering Rs 50 lakh. If that seems excessive, consider this: UK-based tuner Twisted sells its uprated 167 bhp Jimnys for over Rs 75 lakh.

Expensive? Yes. But can you put a price on sheer, unfiltered automotive silliness?
