India Car Sales Surge Again In November 2025

India’s new car market continued its winning streak in November 2025, powered by strong festive momentum and easing supply bottlenecks. Most major manufacturers posted healthy year-on-year gains, with SUVs once again doing the bulk of heavy lifting.

And yes, there are new records.

Let’s start with Maruti Suzuki. India’s biggest automaker posted its highest-ever monthly sales with 229021 units in November 2025. Domestic sales accounted for 174593 units and another 8371 units were supplied to other OEMs. Exports hit an all-time monthly high of 46057 units, underscoring Maruti’s growing global footprint.

Hyundai followed with a strong month at 66840 units, marking a 9.1 per cent year-on-year increase. Domestic sales contributed 50340 units, while exports climbed to 16500 units, making November one of Hyundai’s strongest export months this year.

Next up, Tata Motors reported 59199 units, up significantly from last November’s 47117 units. Growth continues to be driven by a widening SUV portfolio and consistent EV demand.

Mahindra secured the next volume position with domestic sales of 56336 units, marking steady progress year on year. As usual, the Scorpio, XUV lineup and Thar kept order books comfortably full.

Toyota Kirloskar Motor posted total sales of 33752 units, including 30085 units sold domestically. Demand for Toyota’s hybrid lineup continues to stay robust through the last quarter of 2025.

Meanwhile, Kia India delivered 25489 units, posting around 24 per cent year-on-year growth and recording its strongest November performance since entering the Indian market.

Over in the mid-volume category, Renault India recorded a 30.27 per cent year-on-year growth with 3662 units sold. The Triber and Kiger were the key contributors to this recovery phase.

Honda Cars India tallied 5204 domestic units and exported 1984 units, taking its total for the month to 7188 units. While the volumes remain modest, the manufacturer posted a stable performance.

Among the fastest rising brands, Škoda Auto India registered an impressive jump with 5491 units, translating to a 90 per cent year-on-year growth. The brand also crossed the 500000 cumulative sales milestone in India this year, making its 25th anniversary one to remember.

Finally, MG Motor India posted 5754 units in November 2025, continuing a steady growth pattern across both ICE and EV models.

November 2025 closes as another strong chapter for the Indian automotive industry. With year-end discounts peaking and new product launches lined up for January, the momentum looks set to continue into the new year.
