For reasons not yet disclosed by medical professionals, Mansory has decided the world needs a convertible, short-wheelbase Mercedes G63 inspired by Monopoly. Yes, the board game. The one that ruins family holidays.
This version is called the AL3C MONO9O7Y, a name that appears to have lost a fight with a barcode scanner. It was created in collaboration with Alec Monopoly, a street artist and DJ best known for painting pop culture motifs on already expensive items.
Based on Mansory’s Grand Entrée G-Wagen that debuted last winter, the new version is wrapped in Monopoly-themed artwork. There’s a massive stylised 100 note across the sides, splashes of bright paint, and multiple appearances from Rich Uncle Pennybags. He’s on the rear wheel cover too, this time surrounded by a team of smiling bankers who may or may not be fictional.
The rest of the bodywork is finished in Mansory’s familiar exposed carbon fibre. It’s not what you’d call subtle. 24-inch black FC.5 wheels complete the look, each featuring a different-coloured inner ring, because symmetry is too mainstream.
Inside, the G-Wagen’s interior has been reupholstered in aqua blue . There’s Monopoly branding on the door panels, across the grab handle, and even stitched into the seat cushions. Each seatbelt gets its colour, as if they were playing pieces.
Under the bonnet is the usual 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8, now upgraded with larger turbos, a higher-flow air filter and a sports exhaust system. Total output is now 809 bhp and 1,150 N · m of torque. It’ll do 0-100 kmph in just over 4 seconds. That’s fast enough to skip Go entirely and proceed directly to madness.
Mansory says it will build just 10 of these. Pricing hasn’t been revealed, but we suspect it’ll cost more than a complete set of hotels on Mayfair and Park Lane combined. Best start collecting those ₹500 notes.
