Novitec’s Overdose Turns the Cullinan Series II Into a Street-Sized Yacht

For anyone who looked at the Rolls-Royce Cullinan Series II and thought it lacked presence, Novitec’s Spofec division has the cure. It’s called the Overdose, and it adds more size, more power and more ostentation to an SUV that wasn’t exactly shy to begin with.

The standard Series II already greets traffic with a light-up grille, but Spofec has decided that subtlety isn’t the point. The wheel arches have been widened by 120mm, giving the Cullinan the stance of a luxury battle tank. Underneath, a suspension kit drops the ride height by 35mm, just in case you were worried about clearing speed breakers.

Those arch extensions are there to house enormous 24-inch forged wheels from US manufacturer Vossen. These replace the already vast 23-inch set, which, is no longer enough if your neighbour’s Range Rover wears the same.

Power also gets a considerable bump. The standard Cullinan Black Badge produces 591bhp from its 6.6-litre twin-turbo V12. Spofec’s plug-and-play N-Tronic module raises that to 697bhp and 1,010Nm of torque (676bhp for the non-Black Badge), reducing the 0-100kmph time to a claimed 4.6 seconds. Rolls-Royce doesn’t usually talk about acceleration figures, but Novitec does.

A stainless steel exhaust system, with electronically controlled valves, adds a soundtrack to match the new performance. And while practicality was never high on the Cullinan’s priority list, the Overdose’s dimensions make narrow lanes and parking bays more of a spectator sport.

In short, it’s the brashest Cullinan you can buy today, at least until a Mansory one rolls up beside you.
