In contrast, the other two higher trims get eye-catchy exterior colours like Race Blue, Velvet Red, and Bronx Gold. Inside, it gets grey faux-suede and fabric upholstery, which is a step down from the more premium leather seats seen in higher variants. It has a smaller 10.4-inch touchscreen for its infotainment system, compared to the larger 12.9-inch display in higher variants. The sound system is also more modest, featuring a 100W, 9-speaker setup, as opposed to the 725W, 13-speaker Canton system. It also omits the powered tailgate and the 360-degree camera system. The steering wheel is also a two-spoke unit, unlike the three-spoke versions in the other models. It does get more boot-space due to the 5-seat layout though: 786 litres (up from 281 litres).

Under the hood, the Kodiaq Lounge is powered by the same 201bhp and 320Nm, 2-litre turbo-petrol engine as its siblings. This mill is paired with a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission, delivering power to all four wheels.

With the Lounge edition, the Kodiaq has become more accessible than before, but it still is one of the more expensive cars in its class.
