Super exclusive McLaren Artura 1000GP breaks cover

McLaren’s story began in 1963 when Bruce McLaren founded his own racing team with a small independent crew and a clear philosophy: move quickly, work closely and build better. More than six decades later, that vision has transformed McLaren into one of Formula 1’s most successful teams. Now, in 2026, McLaren has reached another historic milestone as it lines up for its 1,000th Grand Prix start. To honour this milestone, McLaren has introduced another limited-run Artura, which is called the McLaren Artura 1000GP, which is limited to just 10 client cars. Here is everything you need to know about it.

Design and Livery

The McLaren Artura 1000GP’s exterior takes inspiration from the McLaren MCL40. This limited-run Artura wears a bespoke livery to acknowledge the journey that led to this achievement. It wears 1000GP graphics on the bonnet, the lower body sides, and the mirror casings, applied by the MSO team. It also wears a contrasting pinstripe finish on the front splitter and rear diffuser, inspired by McLaren’s heritage livery. On the inside, it gets a dedication plaque in bespoke metallic papaya colour.

Engine and specifications

McLaren Artura 1000GP is powered by the same 3-litre twin-turbo V6 engine, which produces 690bhp and 720Nm of torque. This car does 0 to 100kmph in 3 seconds and can hit a top speed of 330kmph.

What makes it special?

Limited to just 10 client cars, the McLaren Artura 1000GP pays homage to McLaren’s rich racing heritage. McLaren has entered its 1000th Formula 1 Grand Prix race, making it the 2nd team in the world to do so. With 10 constructors’ world championship wins and over 200 race wins. McLaren has created this special edition Artura to pay homage to every single race and the teamwork which helped McLaren reach this milestone.
