The Rolls-Royce Spectre Series II Is The Most Powerful Rolls-Royce Ever Built

The Rolls-Royce Spectre has received its first major update since its debut in 2022, and the headline news is hard to ignore. In Black Badge form, the all-electric luxury coupe now produces 671bhp and 1,075Nm, making it the most powerful Rolls-Royce ever built.

But this isn't a dramatic overhaul. In typical Rolls-Royce fashion, the changes are subtle. The Spectre Series II gets more power, more range, faster charging and a handful of new bespoke touches, while looking almost identical to the car it replaces.

Looks familiar? That's the point

If you're struggling to spot the differences, you're not alone. The Spectre's elegant shape, split headlamp design and imposing grille all remain unchanged. There are a few updates, however. Buyers can now choose a new Ethereal Blue paint finish, while a new set of 23-inch forged alloy wheels joins the options list. Beyond that, Rolls-Royce has left well enough alone.

More power, more range

The biggest changes are under the skin. The Black Badge Spectre now develops 671bhp and 1,075Nm, cementing its place as the most powerful production Rolls-Royce to date. At the same time, Rolls-Royce has improved efficiency. The 102kWh battery now delivers a claimed WLTP range of up to 628km, up from 529km in the previous model. Charging speeds have also increased, making long-distance journeys easier than before. Despite weighing close to three tonnes, the Spectre remains seriously quick. Rolls-Royce hasn't revealed performance figures yet, but expect acceleration to be every bit as effortless as before.

Even more luxury inside

The cabin remains unmistakably Rolls-Royce, but there are a few new details. A redesigned clock now sits proudly on the dashboard alongside a stainless-steel Spirit of Ecstasy, while a new illuminated panel on the passenger side uses 8,108 individual light elements to create a striking visual effect. There are also new fabric finishes, veneer options and upholstery designs available. Rolls-Royce says some Spectres can feature up to 26 lakh stitches and nearly 16km of thread throughout the cabin, highlighting the level of craftsmanship involved. The screens and infotainment system remain largely unchanged, but that's unlikely to bother buyers more interested in handcrafted luxury than the latest tech trends.

Pricing is yet to be announced, although the outgoing Spectre already carried a price tag ₹9.5 crore, ex-showroom, India. So expect this version to carry a premium over that.
