Tata Curvv Coupe SUV Concept Breaks Cover; Likely To Hit Indian Market In 2024 As An EV

WOW! That’s the reaction in the office as the Indian homegrown auto manufacturer Tata Motors finally reveals its SUV Coupe styled body Concept CURVV. Tata Motors would be creating a unique segment of its own by giving birth to a new mid-sized SUV that will sit above the highest selling Nexon EV in the Indian market. Staying ambitious to be ahead of the curve in the electric vehicle segment in India, a model built on the Concept CURVV will be first sold as an EV, whereas the ICE guise will be followed later. It is built on the advanced new generation-2 architecture, which is an adapted platform from the ICE models. Striking and Futuristic are the terms that will best describe the styling of the new Concept CURVV. On the front, sleek LED DRLSs are extended across the width of the bonnet, and the triangular housings of the headlights look pretty remarkable. And just like the front, the rear also gets full width LED taillight and scooped triangular air vents. On the side, floating roofline, frameless windows and aero-optimised striking alloy wheels are something that will instantly grab your attention. As with the case with new-age EVs, the interior looks quite minimalistic and futuristic, and the new Concept CURVV is no different. It gets a modern two-spoke steering wheel, three-layered dashboard with fabric materials and two distinctive digital screens for the infotainment screen and instrumental cluster. The production version CURVV EV SUV is expected to get 400-500 kilometres of certified range, which is scheduled to arrive in the Indian market in the next two years. A sporty and elegant SUV with a practical range of around 400-500km range looks quite promising, which will help them to achieve promising sales figures. The Generation 2 EV architecture will be advanced, flexible and capable of offering multi-powertrain options. Talking about sales figures,Mr. Shailesh Chandra - Managing Director, Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles Ltd., and Tata Passenger Electric Mobility Ltd says,  “Our ongoing business turnaround is history in the making. From record sales to upping our market share game, the last fiscal has been nothing but magical for us. We not only emerged as the No. 1 SUV player with our array of products in our portfolio, we also continued to super charge our growth in the EV space with our highest ever annual EV sales going up by 353% vs FY21.” Tata Motors has already taken the early lead in the electric vehicle market in India with its practical and affordable offerings. The new Concept looks quite promising, which will be a mix of practicality and an elegant urban look. The Concept CURVV is set to debut in 2024 with more performance, range and features. Just like you, we are also eagerly waiting to witness Tata’s gamechanger Concept CURVV SUV to be production-ready soon.
