Isuzu Teases D-Max V-cross Before Official Launch

Isuzu India has teased the D-Max V-Cross facelift in a social media post. Isuzu is known worldwide for its pickup trucks that command a confident presence on the road. It has been relatively silent in the Indian passenger sector, with only one option: the D-Max V-cross. This Pickup truck got an update in the International market recently, and we were eager to see it make its way to India. Isuzu is now teasing a facelift of this model in India. Here is all we could find in the little snippets the brand released.

New Exterior

Updated looks and better features, this is what we can expect from the new V-Cross. On the exterior front, we expect it to get a blacked-out grille instead of the chrome elements. This is further enhanced with 18-inch black alloy wheels, making it look even more sporty. Coming to the side, it gets a new black body cladding, which also has some grooves. Its running board also has an updated pattern. Regarding the rear, there are some new details on the tail lamps. The colours of the new model are yet to be revealed.

Comfortable Cabin

The cabin will have a new dual-tone finish, brown and black upholstery, and a new ambience.

It will have the same type of dashboard, with a similar steering, analogue instrument cluster, and digital MID. The infotainment screen will be the same as before, along with Android Auto and Apple Carplay. The rear seats will also get a 3-point seatbelt. We expect it to have a more premium and comfortable finish than the current model.

Powertrain

The engine powering the D-Max V cross is expected to be the same 1.9L turbo diesel unit found in the present model. This powerhouse produces 161 bhp of power and 360 Nm of torque. It is coupled with a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic transmission.

The drivetrain configurations include a rear-wheel drive and a four-wheel drive option. With the 4WD, you get a low-range transfer case and a rear differential lock that helps it perform better off-road. It also has a towing capacity of up to 3.5 tonnes.

Launch Timeline

We do not know when the D-Max V-Cross will be launched in India, but it is expected to come out sometime in the next month. Its prime competitor will be the Toyota Hilux. The ex-showroom price could range between Rs 25 lakh and Rs 30 lakh.
