Mercedes-AMG SL 63 Manufaktur Golden Coast Edition Unveiled: Only 100 To Be Made

In the mood to see a limited-edition car? You are in for a treat as Mercedes-AMG has revealed an exclusive SL 63 Golden Coast Edition with special customisations from Manufaktur. This roadster only comes in a special Manufaktur kalahari gold magno paint finish that is complemented with interior elements of the same colour and many elements from Mercedes-AMG's options lists. It scores high on the exclusivity front, as Only 100 of these will be produced in its lifetime.

SL 63 Golden Coast Edition Exterior

Looking at it outside, you cannot miss its flashy golden magno paint finish. The AMG Night Package Exterior and Night Package Exterior II enhance the look of this paint. These packages add the model's gloss black finish on elements like mirror caps, front splitter, sill cladding, and rear skirt. The double tailpipe fairings, grille-panel fins, SL 63 badge and the Mercedes logo on the rear get a black chrome finish. The roadster rides on 21-inch forged AMG alloy wheels that get kalahari gold inserts on the rim and hubcaps, giving them a unique look. For your aerodynamic needs, Mercedes has also added the AMG Aero package to the car, giving it flics on the wheel arches and air intakes. It gets extra flics on the side air outlets in the rear skirt and a diffuser panel.

SL 63 Golden Coast Edition Interior

As mentioned earlier, the interior gets exterior-matched trim inserts in the kalahari gold colour. It also gets the AMG Performance Seats, which can be electrically adjusted and are also ventilated as standard. The black nappa leather upholstery is extensively used in the interior and the gold stitching contrasts.

SL 63 Golden Coast Edition Powertrain

There is no change under the hood of the SL 63 Golden Coast Edition. It gets the SL 63’s 4.0L twin-turbocharged V8 that can produce 576 bhp. This engine is mated to a 9-speed automatic gearbox, and the power is delivered to the wheels through a fully variable 4Matic+ all-wheel-drive system.
