The Mumbai-based electric vehicle manufacturer launched its new e-bike, Vader, in the Indian market at Rs 1.20 lakhs (ex-showroom Delhi, including FAME 2 subsidy). The ex-showroom prices of the bike may vary from state to state; for example, in Maharashtra, the bike will cost Rs 1.30lakhs (ex-showroom).
The company aspires to become a leading e-vehicle manufacturer in India. And today, they have showcased its latest e-bike, which comes with a 7-inch display with G-map navigation and Bluetooth connectivity. It also gets Odysse EV App with connectivity features such as Bike Locator, Geo fence, Immobilization, Anti-theft, track & trace, and Low battery Alert, among many other utilities essential for ease in navigation for two-wheeler users.
Vader comes with IP-67 rated 3.7kWh battery pack with NMC prismatic cell chemistry, capable of 125km of claimed range in Eco mode. It comes with a hub motor setup capable of producing 4.5kW of peak power and 170N/m of torque. The bike has a top speed of 85km/h and has three driving modes and a reverse mode.
The braking system comes with a combi-braking setup with a 240mm disc brake at the front and a 220mm disc brake at the rear. Suspension duties are being handled by telescopic suspension at the front and the spring suspension setup at the rear.
One can book the bike with a token amount of Rs999. However, the delivery schedule still needs to be clarified. The manufacturer also plans to expand its dealership network in the coming years.
