Fernando Alonso Moves To Aston Martin F1 Team | What Makes Him The Ideal Choice For Aston Martin?

Sebastian Vettel's exit from F1 by the end of the 2023 season marked the entry of Fernando Alonso to the Aston Martin F1 team with a multi-year deal. The two-time world champion switching to the  Aston Martin will indirectly open up the racing seat for Oscar Piastri, hopefully. Alpine is the rebranded Renault F1 team that debuted in 2021, with Alonso and Ocon as their main drivers. According to the sources, Alpine wanted Alonso to stay with the team, but they were skeptical about confirming Alonso for the multi-year deal. Moreover, Alonso also looked forward to the agreement from Aston Martin for the upcoming seasons. "This Aston Martin team is clearly applying the energy and commitment to win, and it is therefore one of the most exciting teams in Formula 1 today," said Alonso on his move to Aston Martin from next season. Adding furthermore, Alonso said, "I have known Lawrence and Lance [Stroll] for many years and it is very obvious that they have the ambition and passion to succeed in Formula 1. I have watched as the team has systematically attracted great people with winning pedigrees, and I have become aware of the huge commitment to new facilities and resources at Silverstone. No one in Formula 1 today is demonstrating a greater vision and absolute commitment to winning, and that makes it a really exciting opportunity for me". Aston Martin will not only get strengthened with much-needed experience from a 41-year-old world champion but will also fetch good investment and business with the brand tag attached to him. Moreover, Alonso would add a positive impact to Lawrence's son-Lance Stroll. Lawrence Stroll is motivated and ambitious to stir the growth of the Aston Martin F1 team. He has already made significant investment plans for the new factory setup in the UK. Moreover, signing up with the new technical director, Dans Fallows from RedBull, gives the sense of assurance and intent to build a competitive car. Fernando Alonso's experience and knowledge will give much-needed depth and understanding for the implementation of the ambitious project of Aston Martin. Well, considering Alonso's age, the career in F1 is something hard to predict for now. However, Lawrence's money and vision could be well directed with the expertise and experience of Fernando Alonso.
