Marc Marquez Joins Gresini Racing | Will You Still Cheer Up For Honda Racing?

A week ago, speculation surrounding Marc's MotoGP future was put to rest as he officially stated that he would part ways with Honda by the end of the year. 30-year-old Spanish champion had won 6 titles,59 wins, 101 podiums and 64 pole positions with Honda in his 11-year-long partnership with the brand. It was no secret that he would join Ducati's satellite team - Gresini Racing.

Marc was found struggling with the Honda bikes in recent times. However, his journey with Honda is a great example of a successful alliance. Marquez dominated the American GP in 2013, securing his debut MotoGP victory on the Honda RC213V. He proved to be a force to be reckoned with by becoming the youngest premier-class World Champion. With an impressive display of racing skill and determination, he secured back-to-back titles from 2016 to 2019. Injuries, Honda's engineering struggle, and performance had put them back from the winning streak.

Today, it's official that Marc Marquez joins Gresini Racing for the 2024 season. Marc Marquez officially said,“I’m excited about this new challenge. It wasn’t an easy decision because it’s a big change in every way. But sometimes in life, it’s important to get out of your comfort zone and put yourself through the paces in order to keep growing. Bike-chance-wise, I know I will have to adapt my riding style to a few things, and it won’t be easy. But I’m also sure that the whole Team Gresini will help me a lot. I can’t wait to get to know the Team and start working with them. I’d like to thank Nadia, Carlo and Michele for the trust and respect they showed me."

All Marc fans are hoping to see him perform at his best, as he ruled the hearts of racing enthusiasts during his MotoGP career. Partnering with Gresini Racing is definitely a great sign of hope, as we have witnessed the potential of bikes. Honda enthusiasts remain determined to see the company reclaim its former glory, while devout followers of Marc eagerly anticipate his triumphs in the upcoming season despite his absence from Honda's bike.
