Blacked-out elements go a long way in upping the stealthy quotient and overall aesthetics of a car. Current trends indicate the same as almost each and every manufacturer wants to dip their offerings in a tin of black paint. And now, Hyundai has done the same with the Creta as it has launched a new Knight Edition of the super-popular compact SUV. The 2022 Creta Knight Edition is retailing from INR 13.51 lakh for the 1.5-litre petrol in a newly introduced S Plus variant. Not only this, but the Korean carmaker has also added more features as part of the MY2022 update. Sticking true to the trend, the Hyundai Creta Knight Edition gets several blacked-out elements including the rear and front skid plates, route mirrors, shark-fin antenna, tail lamp inserts, C-Pillar and side sill. To complete the stealthy look, the Knight Edition also gets exclusive black alloys with red brake callipers. You can also find special Knight Edition badging splattered across the bodywork. Step inside and it is a familiar story as the cabin also gets an all-black finish with contrasting stitching on the steering wheel, upholstery and AC vents. The Knight Edition can be had with the base naturally-aspirated 1.5-litre petrol mill that puts down 115PS and 144 Nm. It can be paired with a 5-speed manual gearbox in the S Plus variant and with a CVT in the SX(O) variant. The dark package can also be availed with 1.5-litre diesel engine that makes 115PS and 250 Nm. This diesel-burner can be paired with a six-speed manual in the S Plus and 6AT in the SX(O). As we mentioned earlier, Hyundai has not only launched the Knight Edition but has also rejigged the variants and added some more features in some respective packages. The most prominent change comes in the form of the availability of iMT gearbox that can be paired with the 1.5-litre petrol and is priced at Rs 12.83 lakh for the lower S trim. The 2022 Creta also comes with TPMS as standard and a glossy black centre console is also a part of the package on SX(O) trims. The new Creta will also be available in a new Denim Blue shade.
