This was the first time I was going to spend so much time with a Ducati and boy oh boy, have I not looked forward to it. I had seen the pictures, I had seen the configurator but what I kept myself away from, were the reviews. I didn’t want to taint my experience or understanding of the motorcycle with someone else’s testimonial. But the wait was finally over when the beautiful, red roadster showed up and I felt like my crush just walked up to me….
All romanticism aside, I am really excited to see how the Ducati Scrambler will perform in the daily activities space and is it really able to take on the maximum city of Mumbai? Well in the initial days of exploring the motorcycle, I am actually quite happy with it. Apart from the fact that I have a grin on my face every time I perform a cold start, is something why people might be buying the motorcycle in the first place.
Well, she has mostly been able to see the city streets. Bad roads, undulations and traffic. I must say that I am really impressed with the Kayaba suspension setup. Yes, you can’t play around with the front setup but at the same time, do I really need to? I haven’t felt the need to even when I was judging the infrastructure of the city. What I really love about it is the wide handlebar! It makes riding this motorcycle such a great experience. It makes the motorcycle feel really small when riding it and also gives immense confidence to place 72 odd horsepower on the road.

But let me tell you about the best part… Exhaust Note. Now few might tell you that the exhaust on this motorcycle is a little underwhelming. But the way you activate is by letting go of the throttle. I’m serious. Just let go of the throttle, let the revs come and and with the reduction of revs, comes those sweet, sweet burbles!!!
